Carpet Weaving Process
Behind The Masterpiece

The Art of Weaving

A Journey of Patience, Precision,
and Pure Artistry.

At Global Textiles, every carpet is born from a meticulous, multi-step process that honors the ancient traditions of Bhadohi. From the raw wool to the final carving, it takes months of dedicated craftsmanship by master artisans to create a masterpiece that will last for generations.

01
Raw Materials

Sourcing & Carding

The journey begins with the selection of the finest natural fibers. We ethically source premium New Zealand wool, pure silk, and natural viscose. These raw materials are carefully cleaned, blended, and carded to create a uniform, soft texture ready for spinning.

Coloration

The Alchemy of Dyeing

At Global Textiles, our in-house yarn dyeing unit is a key strength that enables us to maintain complete control over color quality, consistency, and production timelines. By managing the dyeing process internally, we ensure precise color matching, faster sample development, and reliable batch-to-batch consistency for every order. With a production capacity of over 4,000 kg of yarn per day, our facility is equipped to efficiently handle both custom developments and large-scale manufacturing requirements. We use azo free and eco friendly dyes and controlled dyeing processes to achieve excellent color fastness while following environmentally responsible practices. We use yarn dyes from Colour Tex Industries pvt Ltd. which is Oeko-Tex certified.

Craftsmanship

The Master's Loom

This is the soul of our process. Depending on the collection, master weavers sit at traditional vertical looms, hand-tying thousands of individual knots (for Hand Knotted rugs) or using specialized tools for Hand Tufted and Handloom carpets. A single rug can take months of focused dedication.

04
Purification

Washing & Sun Drying

Once woven, the carpet undergoes a rigorous multi-stage washing process using fresh water and natural cleansers. This softens the pile, removes excess dye, and brings out the natural luster of the wool and silk. It is then stretched and naturally dried under the Indian sun.

Detailing

Trimming & Hand Carving

The carpet pile is carefully sheared to an even height. For modern and tufted designs, skilled artisans use scissors to hand-carve the edges of the motifs, creating a stunning 3D embossed effect that gives the design incredible depth and sharpness.

06
Final Stage

Quality Control & Export

Every inch of the carpet is inspected under strict quality control parameters. Edges are bound, backing is applied, and the rug is meticulously rolled and packaged. From Bhadohi, it begins its final journey to luxury hotels, boutiques, and homes worldwide.
